At Refuge, we are an all-age family and we want to see every member of that family growing in their love of God—from the oldest to the youngest, we affirm that everyone is welcome in the family of God. Indeed, Jesus gave His disciples the following command:
At Refuge, we encourage families to participate in worship together, where children can learn from their parents and feel included in our church family.
We host Refuge Kids every Sunday morning after the all-age worship. Our team of wonderful volunteers seek to make Refuge Kids an inviting and comfortable place for children of all ages: children under two years are free to play and explore the toys on offer; children over the age of two years are encouraged to be involved in the teaching and prayer time. Our volunteers seek to make the Bible comprehensible and accessible to the children through creative activities and games. We also encourage the children to be involved in praying for each other and for the community.
Our children’s ministry programme extends beyond Sunday mornings as we aim to encourage and equip families in the church to disciple their children. To that end the children’s ministry team meet together to pray for families and for children in our church family.
